Transmedia Storytelling, the Two-Way communication

Transmedia Storytelling, the Two-Way communication

Transmedia Storytelling is relatively new and it’s importance is acquiring more and more (media) space every day for the reason that it brings lots of involvement and implications, most of them not yet clarified.
Which is really it’s true mission?.
How many people saw the true evolution-revolution coming in this new way to see the entertainment world?
To enable the public to have a part in the future development of the “action”… can that make this world a better place?
For sure it works like that!
The true mission of Transmedia Storytelling is a fantastic gift to the public because it rectifies many wrong data on real communication imposed from the film industry (and) broadcasting by their own definitions in 100 years of history.
Here we start a not very simple analysis regarding what is this incorrect data that Transmedia Storytelling corrects and for this we need to understand the definition and the very deep difference between:
1) Tell news,  a story, message shown on the screen a fixed immutable vision that the public cannot change = ONE way communication…
2) Tell news, a story, message shown on the screen with the possibility to interact = TWO way communication… Interact!
TWO way communication, that’s the real difference.
ONE WAY COMMUNICATION: Bill sees Joe and says,  “Hello Joe!”…no answer from Joe…or no-possibility to answer.
TWO WAY COMMUNICATION: Bill sees Joe and says, “Hello Joe!”… Joe gets the thing and says, “Hello Bill!”. Bill originates a communication and having completed it can expect that Joe will originate a communication (answer) to Bill completing in this way the communication between two persons.
What’s really happening is:
FIRST PART = Bill gives direction to some particles through a distance to Joe.
SECOND PART= Joe gives direction to some particles through a distance to Bill.
The thought and the action to push an impulse or particle from a source-point Bill through a distance to a receipt-point, Joe, with the intention to produce full understanding in the receipt-point (Joe) and expectance in Bill to get some answer.
… Is the action through which people can experiment or make experiments emotion within others
… Is the true intimacy that Jeff Gomez was telling about  the way the Shaman was speaking to him when he was a little boy.
… Is the action to get an agreement between two or more people
… to translate sympathy or hate or something else between persons.
We could say that a letter, a book, a film and pushing to the limit: a bullet, a brain wash system … are extremely different models to communicate.
Let’s analyze the “forgotten rules” applying communication to Broadcasting: if we have that to every kind of communication does not follow an answer… what have we got?
We have ONE way communication= Bill sees Joe and says:”hello Joe!”… no answer from Joe or no-possibility to answer… in other words we have an INCOMPLETE communication that can easily become IMPOSED communication when the argument is not interesting, not educational, not creating good reactions because not in agreement with good traditional culture following educational, honest and loyal rules building a good person-citizen.
Let’s make examples of very good culture One way communication:
5) EDUCATIONAL FILMS inspired to very high principles, like Religion, love of one’s Country, Honesty, Loyalty, Heroic behavior, Common Good.
but when all that is lost…

Let’s make examples of bad culture One way communication IMPOSED communication:
3) FILMS GLORIFYING dishonest behavior, to steal, criminal Winning, adultery …
starts a very bad attitude against His own Good and people are pushed to act against their own society rules and laws and all this is under the definition of IMPOSED communication for a good citizen.
Like to say:
1) HE did not want that.
2) HE is in complete dis-agreement because he has different and better experiences.
Now we are going in the wrong direction called: Brain Washing… war prisoners… the person is subjected to terrible emotions, psychological changes and every kind of aberration:
Vladimir tells Joe, all the day and night long, “the situation is that and how you think!” and Joe can’t answer = Joe surrenders after weeks, he feels he is lost… Stanley Kubrick described that in: A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, where the main character in the movie is a criminal and Justice sentences him to look continuously against his will (a little machine was keeping open his eyelids) an enormous quantity of images that procure to him a terrible nausea when, provoked, he “thinks” to react badly.

Two way communication is the best choice and it’s a big evolution and innovation to introduce it in entertainments.
It is time Hollywood starts to keep in the correct consideration the consequences of the Transmedia Storytelling Evolution… can’t ignore these facts or it will loose the perfect charisma.
